The Huawei P11 could be the next imaging powerhouse

While most smartphones today come with dual rear cameras, Huawei is said to be adding one more camera to the back of its upcoming P11 smartphone.
Reliable tipster @evleaks obtained some leaked ads from Huawei's creative agency which reveal that the P11 smartphone will come with "Pro Triple-Lens Leica Rear Cameras". There are also mentions of a 40MP image sensor, 5x hybrid zoom, 24MP Pro Selfie Camera, a Pro Night mode with new sensor and optics to take amazing night photos without tripod, and Pro AI Camera Assist. Hours after his tweet, @evleaks shared that the images have been removed from the source, which lends more credibility to the leak.
Huawei was among the first to introduce dual rear cameras on smartphones with the P9 in April 2016. It announced in February 2016 that it was partnering with German camera company Leica to "reinvent smartphone photography". In September 2016, both companies revealed plans to setup a R&D center to work on optic and software systems. 2018 could be the year where Huawei pushes the boundary of photography hardware on smartphones.
