ASUS has lined up a triplet of ROG Strix XG HDR gaming monitors that support AMD FreeSync 2 HDR for a “butter-smooth gaming experience”. The monitors feature a host of features that include TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification for flicker-free operation and low blue light output, ASUS Shadow Boost technology to improve viewing in dark areas, exclusive GamePlus hotkeys and GameVisual presets.

This 43-inch monitor is touted as the world’s largest and fastest 4K FreeSync 2 HDR with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also DisplayHDR 600 compliant, with a 3,840 x 2,160-pixel native resolution. The display has three HDMI 2.0 inputs and a DisplayPort port. It even has a pair of built-in 10W speakers.

This is another curved display and its 32-inch VA panel sports a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Its VA panel is DisplayHDR 400 compliant.
The ASUS ROG Strix XG HDR family monitors have anti-glare coatings to prevent reflection. They feature proprietary ASUS technologies like “ASUS Eyecare Technology for long-term usability” as well as “GamePlus Technology, an ASUS-exclusive feature that overlays in-game enhancements on top of the action.” In terms of availability, the Strix XG49VQ and XG32VQR are expected to be available at month’s end, i.e., January 2019, while the Strix XG438Q is slated for release in spring 2019.

This ultra-wide, curved 49-inch monitor sports a 3,840 x 1080-pixel resolution, with an aspect ratio of 32:9. It sports a 144Hz refresh rate and its curved display holds promise of a more immersive gaming experience. It effectively provides the same viewing area as a pair of 27-inch displays place side by side, sans the bezels.
