At Computex 2016, Sharkoon unveiled a new affordable gaming headphone and a special gaming headset stand.
The new gaming headphone is called the Skiller SGH1 and is designed to be lightweight and comfortable. To that end, it features changeable ear cups, so gamers can swap them between velour ear pads or leather ear pads. It also has a spring-loaded headband for a closer fit and better wearing comfort.
It has a closed-back circumaural design and features large 40mm drivers. The microphone is removable, and comes with a cable with inline volume control and mute function. The Skiller SGH1 will be compatible with all PCs, notebooks, Xbox One and also PS4.
Complementing the Skiller SGH1 is the new X-Rest 7.1 surround sound headset stand. That’s right, apart from being a headset stand, the X-Rest 7.1 also doubles up as a USB soundcard that will enable 7.1-channel surround sound.
It features separate headphone and microphone jacks, so it will work with a wide range of existing gaming headsets. Plus, it has controls built directly into the base of the stand for easy operation.
There's a knob for volume control, and there’s also a button to mute the microphone, and another button that toggles through different EQ settings. The lighting is functional too. When it glows red it means that the microphone has been muted.
The Skiller SGH1 and X-Rest 7.1 surround sound headset stand are sold separately at €20 each (S$31), which represents pretty great value to us.
