MSI has announced the VR Boost Kit, a 5.25-inch front bay device that allows you to connect your VR headset to the front of your PC.
The VR Boost Kit features an HDMI output, along with two USB 3.0 ports for additional connectivity options. This means that it remains unaffected by issues with NVIDIA’s Pascal cards, where users have reported problems connecting their headset over Display Port.
You’ll also appreciate the device if you already have a monitor that’s connected to the HDMI port on your graphics card, because you won’t have to switch to a different cable even if you want to link up your VR headset.
MSI is bundling a matte silver cover with the VR Boost Kit, which will help it blend in better with lighter colored cases.
No release date or pricing information has been announced yet.
