EVGA's new DG-8 full-tower CPU cases series

EVGA just dropped a new line of full-tower CPU cases – the DG-8 Gaming Cases. The flagship of the bunch is the EVGA DG-87, which boasts a series of features designed after a PC-building enthusiast’s sweet dreams. The DG-8 lineup also shares many of the features, with slight differences to their quantity and availability of casing ports.
On the DG-87 case is a built-in fan controller and temperature sensor, which allows you to control and monitor the cooling performance even before you fire up any monitoring software. The case is designed with an optimized airflow path which focuses on cooling the graphic cards. Other performance-related quirks include a K-Boost Button, that lets a user boost the CPU and GPU clock rates at a click.

As a gaming CPU case, it needs to be easy for assembly, and EVGA implemented a removable door on the DG-87 case to aid that. The cases come with dedicated cable management cutout points within, which is helpful for keeping the cables neat (and possibly improving the case’s airflow). It also features removable PCI-E brackets, which can be helpful if better airflow is required, or if the water cooling tubes need more space to work with.
Maintenance is also simple - on the DG-87 and the other DG-8 cases, you can find removable fan filters that catches the dust accumulated in your case, making it easy to keep your CPU dust free.

The DG-87 supports two USB 3.0 and one USB 3.1 Type-C ports on the front, as well as HDMI, and audio (one for microphones and another for headphones). It also supports a maximum of 12 SSD and HDD units, with eight slots able to take up 3.5-inch HDDs. The non-flagship DG-8 cases – such as the DG-85 and DG-84 – do not come with that front-facing USB 3.1 Type-C port, and they support a maximum of eight SSD/HDD units with four of their ports compatible with 3.5-inch hard drives. The non-flagship cases also do not come with its water cooling bracket, temperature sensor, or LED Display either.
The EVGA DG-87 will retail at €179.90 (~S$275.04). To pre-order the case, or to read up its finer points, you can check it out together with its respective line-up here.
