ASUS refreshes ROG G20 gaming desktop with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

ASUS has updated its ROG G20 gaming desktop with the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, which means its compact desktop could now be one of the most powerful small form factor systems available on the market.
The ROG G20 is the first ASUS desktop to be updated with the latest Pascal graphics card, although ASUS announced at Computex that the ROG GT51 would be getting the GeForce GTX 1080 as well.
In addition to the new graphics card, its compact 12.5L chassis houses a sixth-generationIntel Core i7-6700 processor, an impressive 32GB of 2,133MHz DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB M.2 SSD and 2TB SATA HDD.
One thing you get with pre-built systems like the ROG G20 – as opposed to a system you assembled yourself – is a uniquely cohesive design philosophy. In the case of the ASUS desktop, this means a sleek chassis with Mayan-inspired lines and markings, with no visible exterior side exhaust vents. The case also features customizable lighting effects for you to add a little panache to the system.
For cooling, the ROG G20 relies on an airflow tunnel that helps remove heat more efficiently, while two internal fans help to further dissipate heat.
The ROG G20 we reviewed wasn’t cheap, and the updated model isn’t either. It is already available at S$3,198 from all ASUS stores and authorized retailers, and comes bundled with a backlit keyboard and mouse.
