Exécuter des programmes Windows sur Chrome OS





VMWare et Google ont annoncé travaillé sur un système permettant de faire tourner les applications Windows sur ChromeOS. Il est déjà possible de simuler un environnement bureautique Windows à l’aide de VMWare Horizon DaaS qui met le bureau sur le cloud. En ce qui concerne les applications, les deux compagnies sortiront un hyperviseur VMware Blast qui fera appel au HTML 5 et tournera comme une application Chrome OS.

Chrome OS continue de faire partie de nos flops, parce qu’il reste très mal adapté aux besoins du consommateur moyen. L’un des arguments de Microsoft est que le système d’exploitation de Google ne peut pas lancer les applications qu’utilisent les particuliers à l’instar d’Office. VMWare Blast pourrait changer tout ça.
